Job Summary

The Accounting Associate II plays a crucial role in assisting Accounting Leadership with administrative, accounting, and bookkeeping functions. This position is responsible for compiling and reviewing financial information, maintaining records, processing accounting support tasks, and performing general administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Data Management: Deposit checks, post payments to accounts receivable, and prepare cash journal entries.
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Prepare AR invoices, monitor AR balances, and prepare customer statements.
  • Vendor and Customer Relations: Work with cross-functional teams to collect outstanding AR balances, respond to vendor and customer inquiries, and resolve concerns or discrepancies.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile subledger accounts to general ledger and bank accounts in accordance with quarter-end deadlines.
  • Quarter-End Close Activities: Assist with quarter-end close activities as assigned.
  • Vendor and Location Setup: Conduct vendor and location setup and modifications.
  • Vendor Payments: Assist with vendor payments via check, ACH, or virtual card.
  • Training and Development: Assist with training associate accountants and creation of process documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Assist with implementation of process improvements as directed by Accounting Leadership.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an accounting environment.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices, sales and use tax regulations, exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, excellent organizational skills, and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Confidentiality: Must possess a high degree of confidentiality.
Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, bend, stretch, and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time hourly position with occasional overtime required.
