About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Relationship Banker to join our team at Itasca Bank & Trust Co. As a key member of our banking team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with clients, and promoting our banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Listen effectively to customers' requests and promptly take the necessary action to assist them in managing their accounts and offering products and services.
  • Relationship Building: Exhibits strong customer service skills, presenting products and services while proactively educating clients on utilizing banking applications.
  • Account Management: Balances speed and accuracy when processing customer requests while utilizing the internal banking network.
  • Product Promotion: Aid customers in opening, managing, and optimizing their bank accounts and products.
  • Lead Generation: Pursue leads and potential customers to expand services and products offered.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Takes the initiative to follow-up, escalate, or seek additional resources to ensure customer satisfaction in a timely manner.
  • Adaptability: Adapts to concepts and procedures and notifies management when additional training is needed on product and service knowledge.
  • Continuous Improvement: Accepts coaching, implements feedback from reviews to improve job performance.
  • Risk Management: Recognizing potential fraud and other risks.
  • Community Involvement: Helping support community and bank events.
  • Confidentiality: Provide access and servicing to safe deposit box customers.
  • Compliance: Follow policies, procedures, regulations, confidentiality requirements, and operational controls.
Requirements
  • Education: High School education or GED.
  • Experience: 1-2 years personal banking experience required, 3+ years of customer service experience required.
  • Skills: Ability to work as part of a team to achieve branch goals, strong cross-selling experience, proficient in Windows applications, models positive and supportive behavior, ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekends, effective written and verbal communication skills.
