Senior Neuromuscular Disease Physician Leader

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick is seeking an experienced physician to lead the Neurology Department's Division of Neuromuscular Diseases as its Chief. The ideal candidate will be an Associate Professor or Professor, responsible for overseeing the division's clinical, educational, and research activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the Division of Neuromuscular Disorders and lead the ALS Center of Excellence.
- Serve as the Chief of the Electromyography (EMG) Laboratory.
- Provide expert clinical care to patients with neuromuscular disorders in outpatient and hospital settings.
- Perform electrodiagnostic tests in various environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including night and weekend coverage.
- Educate and mentor Neurology residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Engage in the department's neuromuscular research programs.
- Contribute to administrative activities and serve on departmental and institutional committees.
- Support community service responsibilities, including providing care for indigent patients and advising community groups.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical care, teaching, and research in Neuromuscular Diseases, as well as demonstrated leadership and administrative skills.
Qualifications:- MD or equivalent degree with board certification in Neurology.
- Sub-specialty training in Neuromuscular Disorders.
- Experience in clinical practice, education, and research in Neuromuscular Diseases.
- Demonstrated leadership and administrative abilities.
- A competitive salary: $450,000 - $600,000 per year.
