About the Role

The Shift Lead is a key member of our veterinary hospital team, responsible for supporting the Practice Manager and Chief of Staff in guiding the team to maximize productivity and profitability. This role involves working closely with the Practice Manager and Chief of Staff to ensure effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing an efficient and productive team that provides high-quality care and service to pets and clients.
  • Supervise the team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring quality medical care, exceptional client service, and maximum productivity.
  • Help create an environment where the team can deliver quality, efficient, and effective veterinary care to pets and foster associate engagement.
  • Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional client service, ensuring all associates do the same.
  • Assist in effectively scheduling associates to meet client needs, while proactively planning time off and CE scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with all practice policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to Banfield dress and grooming guidelines.

Requirements

  • Believe in the importance of preventive care for pets.
  • Embrace and thrive on providing exceptional client and pet experiences.
  • Be available to work weekend and evening shifts.
  • Be comfortable working in an environment with loud noise and strong smells.
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have a minimum of two years of veterinary hospital experience.
