Key Responsibilities:

As a Healthcare Customer Service Specialist, you will play a vital role in our Cardiology Clinic.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting patient interviews to gather essential identification and demographic information in preparation for upcoming appointments
  • Coordinating patient scheduling within the clinic and assisting with referrals to other departments
  • Verifying insurance coverage, collecting co-pays and outstanding balances, reconciling financial transactions, and addressing billing inquiries
  • Welcoming and checking in patients upon arrival
  • Managing incoming phone calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel or taking messages
  • Overseeing clinic administrative processes such as supply management, sales inquiries, record handling, and processing of faxes and mail
  • This is a full-time day shift position.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in computer operations for accurate data entry and retrieval
  • Effective communication skills with diverse populations, staff, and healthcare providers
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Ability to maintain a positive and supportive attitude

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous
  • Customer service experience is preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
