Job Summary

The Operations Manager at OEM Tube is responsible for driving strategic planning and overseeing the daily functions of multi-site operations and manufacturing teams to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Align production goals with business objectives and foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all sites.
  • Lead and Empower Teams: Develop and deliver impactful short and long-term strategies and action plans, and empower management teams to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop Plant Managers: Ensure alignment with company goals and objectives, and develop plant managers and operations teams to achieve their full potential.
  • Partner with Management Teams: Develop and direct KPIs, metrics, and continuous improvement in each area, and identify and analyze current business processes to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Cooperate in a cross-functional manner as a change agent with all departments to drive continuous improvement in safety, processes, quality, and productivity.
  • Strategic Staffing: Maintain a strategic approach to staffing, training, and succession planning to ensure the right talent is in place to drive business success.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Promote cooperation and teamwork among production, management, sales, quality, and customers to drive business results.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Capital Expenditure Projects: Develop and manage capital expenditure projects related to facility upgrades, equipment purchases, and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or related discipline required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to interpret data for informed decision-making, proven track record of successful process improvement and efficiency initiatives, highly developed project management and organizational skills, and exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: ISO 9001 experience and understanding of requirements, and strong understanding of Lean/Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies; certification a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant operations management software.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel frequently between sites, as required.
