Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team in developing and operating our New Glenn launch vehicle. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of the project, including risk management, issue resolution, and opportunity identification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the risk database and facilitate risk review boards
  • Coach team members through the risk process
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies to mitigate risks to the program's technical requirements, assets, cost/schedule baselines, and safety
  • Build trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver results
  • Adapt to a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment and thrive with ambiguity
  • Communicate complex system dependencies and impacts to senior leadership
  • Continually improve processes and tools
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or technical field
  • 8+ years of Project Management experience
  • Ability to assimilate technical engineering information quickly and summarize concisely
  • Proven ability to develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies to mitigate risks
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusting and effective working relationships
  • Highly adaptable in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical aptitude
  • Capability to obtain wide system and program knowledge
  • Continual improvement mindset towards processes and tools
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Tableau
  • 3+ years of direct Risk Management experience
  • Involvement with multiple portions of an aerospace product life cycle: R&D, Development, Production
  • Experience with aerospace vehicles or engines
  • Experience with Primavera (P6), Doors Next Gen, CREO, Windchill, Microsoft Suite
