About the Role

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled Technical Product Manager to join our Enterprise Technology team. As a key member of our digital infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in shaping the technology that supports our mission to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with customer needs and Blue Origin's mission.
  • Champion the customer's voice throughout the product lifecycle, engaging with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to deeply understand their needs and gather feedback.
  • Own the product roadmap, making data-driven decisions to prioritize features and enhancements based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate closely with UX, engineering, and customer teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Proactively identify potential risks to product performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, leading efforts to mitigate risks and ensure product stability and reliability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch, acting as a product evangelist to drive adoption of product features and improvements.
  • Coordinate product and feature releases, defining release criteria, scheduling, and ensuring readiness across all teams involved in the launch process.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, leveraging data to make informed decisions and iterate on product features and functionality.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on product progress, changes, and risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating product processes, tools, and methodologies, leading ongoing product discovery activities to identify optimal technology solutions for customer challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 6+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of managing products through their entire lifecycle from conception to launch and scale.
  • Strong experience with Lean, Agile, and Scrum methodologies, and proficiency with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience working closely with UX design and software engineering teams, with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, make trade-offs, and evaluate new ideas.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and product prioritization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong customer empathy and a passion for building products that deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Aerospace software development processes and frameworks.
  • Experience with manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain systems.

Compensation and Benefits

Blue Origin offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $159,654.00-$223,515.60, as well as a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
