Job Summary:

Swarky Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Resiliency Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and communicating business continuity and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security and integrity of our company data, databases, information systems, and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design, implementation, and communication of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and processes.
  • Conduct risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption.
  • Monitor and test the plans and backup systems.
  • Manage contracts with vendors for offsite and other resources required for business continuity and recovery.
  • Develop and deploy training documentation and communication of disaster procedures to the organization.
  • Develop service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors.
  • Plan and maintain a comprehensive IT disaster recovery (DR) program.
  • Plan, design, implement, and organize testing of DR strategies.
  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) exercises to ensure all DR plans are kept in line with changing business requirements.
  • Complete IT DR recovery procedures and work with technical teams to cocreate IT DR recovery strategies, architectures, and procedures.
  • Conduct IT DR awareness sessions. Identify and make recommendations for improvement of existing processes and procedures.
  • Manage the IT DR calendar incorporating the activities designed to monitor the effectiveness of the IT DR framework.
  • Collaborate with business unit staff members and external business partners for the purpose of planning, directing, controlling, and maintaining an effective testing plan.
  • Provide leadership in assessing and communicating recovery environment requirements.
  • Manage risk mitigation processes and facilitate resource contingency planning sessions with business teams.
  • Lead discussions with vendors and suppliers. Develop, manage, execute contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
  • Requires 4-6 years of related experience.
  • Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope, and skill reflective of the level of this position.
  • Experience with traditional infrastructure and cloud technologies and architecture.
  • Experience with resilient systems design principles.
  • Knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
  • Experience with administration, configuration, implementation of SaaS systems or software in the healthcare domain.

Technical Skills:

  • Disaster Recovery (Cloud On Prem and Hybrid environments) experience.
  • Experience with Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
  • Knowledge of.NET Framework; C; Java (Programming Language); Python (Programming Language).
  • Applications DR Planning and Testing (Cloud Services (AWS and Azure) and Local Data Centers).
  • BCDR Planning Tools: (i.e. ServiceNow).
  • BC DR and ER Governance Plan Development and Testing.
  • How to implement resiliency into the applications.
  • Availability zones RTO work required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
