Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour (subject to contract adjustments).

Benefits (eligibility criteria apply): Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Group Accident Coverage, Critical Illness Insurance, Hospital Indemnity, Identity Theft Protection, and Paid Medical Leave.

Current Opening:

This position is part-time, specifically for Sunday and Monday nights from 10 PM to 6 AM.

Location: Detroit, Michigan.

Primary Responsibilities:

As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your responsibilities will vary based on the assigned location. At this site, Officers will engage with patrons at a local transportation hub, conduct foot patrols, monitor surveillance systems, and enforce company and client protocols while responding to any medical emergencies.

Key Duties Include:

  • Customer Engagement: Approach every interaction with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Conflict Resolution: Assist staff in de-escalating situations with clients through effective communication.
  • Patrol Duties: Regularly monitor the premises, identifying security and maintenance concerns.
  • Reliability: Arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to fulfill your duties.
  • Positive Attitude: Balance exceptional customer service with adherence to client policies.
  • Policy Compliance: Understand and follow written guidelines and procedures.
  • De-escalation Techniques: Utilize effective communication strategies to manage potential conflicts.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • No felony convictions; must pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug test upon hire and randomly thereafter.
  • Present a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, including navigating stairs.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Readiness to respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
