Careers in Cannabis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join our team. As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, customers, employees, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of personnel and protection of company assets and products
  • Monitor and maintain security systems to ensure serviceability and operability on a daily basis
  • Conduct regular equipment checks of security systems
  • Liaise with security system vendors for upgrades or repairs to equipment
  • Participate in or coordinate fire drills, building evacuations, and life safety drills
  • Implement security policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Conduct training and development of employees on SOPs and regulatory requirements
  • Investigate suspicious activity and document in a clear and methodical manner
  • Coordinate the safe and compliant movement of products and assets within the facility

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma
  • Applicants must be over 21 years old
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Law Enforcement or Security experience
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in Criminal Justice or related subjects
  • Driver's license and passing of pre-employment screenings
  • Unarmed self-defense and de-escalation and redirection skills
