Job Overview

Position Summary:

Under minimal supervision, executes daily intricate assembly, servicing, repair, and operational tasks related to wind turbine generators and associated equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engages in regular and effective communication with team members and supervisors.
  • Identifies system or process issues and collaborates with the team to resolve them.
  • Participates in cross-training initiatives with colleagues.
  • Completes daily work assignments as directed by supervisors, coordinating with other crew members as necessary.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and retrofits complex electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
  • Adheres to specific verbal and written instructions for the assembly, repair, and maintenance of wind turbine generators and related equipment.
  • Maintains accurate company documentation and records.
  • Ensures cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas, including managing spills and debris.
  • Travels to various job sites for extended durations.
  • Delivers work that meets customer and company standards.
  • Complies with corporate, OSHA, and GETSG policies and procedures consistently.
  • Prepares service reports and work order documents clearly and accurately.
  • Maintains necessary training certifications for the position.
  • Assesses skills required for specific tasks.
  • Completes work within project timelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, multi-priority environment.
  • Capable of following written and verbal instructions; possesses knowledge of various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to write legibly and pass periodic assessments to ensure up-to-date knowledge.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and communicates positively.
  • Adaptable to indoor and outdoor environments, including adverse weather conditions.
  • Presents a professional image and treats others with respect.
  • Collaborates effectively or works independently, fostering team spirit.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights of up to 300 feet.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate weights up to 100 pounds.
  • Requires a minimum of 36 months of wind turbine-specific technical and mechanical experience.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Valid driver's license and motor vehicle report that meets company standards.
  • Required: Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Required: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and maintain a drug-free status.
  • Required: 24 months of mechanical and electrical experience.
