Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician Apprentice to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a Diesel Technician Apprentice, you will work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers and drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with roadside services and learn preventative maintenance services.
  • Work on electrical diagnostics and repairs, air conditioning and heating diagnostics and repairs, wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs, and more.
  • Learn to work with air system diagnostics and repairs, air brakes diagnostics and repairs, and charging system diagnostics and repairs.
  • Develop basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement skills.
  • Assist with parts lookup and acquisition.
  • Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
  • Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
  • Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies and procedures.
