Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the South Carolina Department of Public Health. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our vital records team, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of applications and documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with the completion of applications for certified copies of vital events
  • Screen applications for necessary information and entitlement to documents
  • Issue certified copies of vital records and advise on discrepancies
  • Enter data from applications into the electronic vital records system
  • Follow established policies regarding security paper and collection of fees
Requirements
  • A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment
  • The ability to type 40 wpm and two years of banking or cashiering experience
  • Three years of face-to-face customer service experience
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • A competitive salary range of $34,138.00 - $35,500.00 annually
