About the Role

FM Global is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Engineer II to join our team. As a Consultant Engineer II, you will play a critical role in helping our clients maintain continuity in their business operations by assessing and mitigating physical and human element exposures.

You will work with minimal supervision, conducting site assessments, evaluating risks, and providing recommendations to clients. Your strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on site assessments of commercial properties, including roofs and other physical structures.
  • Conduct evaluations of site water supplies, dust hazards, chemical storage, and rack storage arrangements for client products.
  • Ensure compliance with FM Global Engineering Standards and communicate recommendations and solutions to clients as needed.
  • Work from a home office and travel to clients' facilities daily, with occasional overnight travel.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering (various specialties considered).
  • Two plus years of industry experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Efficient time management ability with minimal supervision.
  • Solid technical capability, including diverse knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Ability to stay focused from a home office environment.
  • Authorization to work in the country you are applying to work in.
  • Physical ability to lift 25 pounds, climb ladders, balance, and deal with heights.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products.
  • A valid driver's license.
