Lead Senior Quantitative Analyst

Company Overview:


The Ceres Group is a prominent player in the Asset Management sector, seeking a proficient Senior Quantitative Analyst to enhance their innovative Multi-Asset Class team.


Position Summary:


The Senior Quant Analyst will work closely with Portfolio Managers and Researchers to develop and refine analytical models and signals across a variety of asset strategies.

This position demands strong programming capabilities, a solid foundation in finance, familiarity with financial datasets, and a background in investment management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the development of quantitative models for the Multi-Asset Class team
  • Create and execute sophisticated multi-asset models in partnership with PMs and researchers
  • Develop state-of-the-art visualization tools for models
  • Sustain and enhance models and production systems
  • Apply quantitative finance algorithms to investigate macroeconomic and financial variables
  • Contribute to the team's research initiatives and investment strategies

Qualifications:

  • Over 7 years of quantitative development experience within the investment domain
  • Master’s degree in a technical discipline (PhD preferred)
  • Expertise in Python (Pandas, Numpy), SQL, and JavaScript
  • Strong mathematical skills, with knowledge of Bayesian estimation and optimization
  • Experience with multi-asset class data series and data delivery systems
  • Exceptional software design and programming abilities
  • Capacity to articulate complex concepts clearly
  • Strong analytical mindset and a proactive approach
