ROLE OF A RESEARCH ANALYST

  • Development of Quantitative Models: You will construct economic, financial, and operational models utilizing Excel (e.g., valuation frameworks, cost of capital estimations).
  • Comprehensive Research and Analysis: You will perform thorough research, including analysis of financial statements, market evaluations, literature reviews, document assessments, and drafting memos to deliver insights and bolster expert reports.
  • Assistance to Expert Witnesses: You will aid in the preparation of expert reports and presentations, ensuring our experts convey complex economic and financial concepts effectively in legal and regulatory environments.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork are essential. You will work closely with colleagues at various levels, contributing to the creation of robust and innovative solutions for our clients.
COMMON CASES IN SECURITIES (CORPORATE FINANCE)

Within the Securities practice, you will engage in cases such as:

  • Valuation: Developing models to evaluate the worth of financial assets, intangible properties, and securities.
  • Accounting Analysis: Evaluating a company's internal controls to detect manipulation and improper revenue recognition. Identifying fraud patterns through tracing analysis, flow of funds, and financial statement reviews.
  • Securities Regulation: Analyzing trading activities and earnings to assess the likelihood of fraudulent and illegal conduct.
  • Bankruptcy and Restructuring: Reviewing restructuring proposals, financial disclosures, and analyzing creditor recoveries.
  • Investigations of White Collar Fraud: Scrutinizing extensive databases of documents and financial data to uncover fraud and money laundering.

  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., economics, finance, business, accounting), with a strong academic record.
