About the Role

As a Senior Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will be responsible for partnering with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services. Your primary goal will be to help our customers solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products/services to the market or building an elastic, scalable, cost-optimized application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with customers to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services.
  • Help customers solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products/services to the market or building an elastic, scalable, cost-optimized application.
  • Engage with product owners to influence product direction and help customers tap into new markets by utilizing AWS Services.
  • Look for patterns and trends that can be broadly applied across an industry segment or a set of customers that can help accelerate innovation.
About the Team

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years experience developing technology solutions and evangelizing end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing.
  • 5+ years experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications.
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
