Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Specialist Senior to join our team at the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet. This is a critical role that requires strong administrative support and organizational skills to ensure the smooth operation of our department.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the District Supervisor and Assistant Supervisors, including data entry, report compilation, and special projects.
  • Assist with the accreditation process, including entry of data in the Kentucky Offender Management System and compilation of information for the District Outcome Measures report.
  • Receive and forward lab results from drug tests, maintain inactive caseloads, and assign parole plans and transfers for investigation and form review.
  • Compile weekly reports, maintain Time and Attendance records, and provide backup support to the Administrative Specialist II for administrative caseloads.
  • Assist with scheduling and setting up for staff meetings, morale committee meetings, and other office-related tasks.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university.
  • Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision, strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to multitask and prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Familiarity with Excel and Outlook, and ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the Department and Division.


Working Conditions

This position primarily performs duties in an office setting.



Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months.

  • Ability to think critically and analyze data.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
