Position Overview:
The Personnel Scheduler and Staffing Specialist is responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels within the facility.

This role involves executing assigned duties in compliance with existing federal and state regulations as well as established company policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the recruitment, selection, and training of prospective employees, ensuring all staffing requirements are fulfilled.
  • Coordinates, monitors, and adjusts schedules for nursing departments as necessary, including daily, weekly, and monthly adjustments, as well as coverage for vacations and holidays.
  • Advises the Administrator on the required number and level of personnel to be employed.
  • Assists in evaluating nursing staff performance and provides recommendations to the Director of Nursing and Administrator regarding wage adjustments, hiring, terminations, and transfers.
  • Reviews applications and references of potential employees and organizes interviews.
  • Participates in departmental meetings, in-services, educational sessions, and on-the-job training.
  • Ensures that accurate training records are maintained for nursing staff.
  • Maintains job applications for personnel eligible to work in the facility, including resumes and reference checks.
  • Upholds confidentiality of all relevant personnel information in accordance with the Privacy Act and facility policies.
  • Maintains nursing schedules as required.
  • Stays informed of staffing needs as census levels fluctuate.
  • Assists in hiring personnel following established hiring practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Administrator or Director of Nursing.

Qualifications:
RN/LPN Required
