We are currently seeking a dedicated Safety Management Specialist to oversee safety operations within our organization.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.
Position Summary:
The Safety Management Specialist will be responsible for the comprehensive safety program at our facility. This includes, but is not limited to, administering First Aid, responding to workplace incidents, conducting thorough accident investigations, facilitating safety training sessions, performing safety audits, and conducting facility inspections. The specialist will also act as the primary contact for security-related matters and support management in enhancing safety awareness and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Support health, safety, and environmental initiatives as required, which may involve additional training.
- Possess a solid understanding of recordable and non-recordable injuries, near-miss incidents, and preventive measures.
- Maintain or achieve certification in First Aid, CPR, BBP, and AED as a first responder.
- Assist in compliance with safety, health, and workers' compensation regulations; manage and review all incident reports for management review.
- Adhere to and enforce any additional responsibilities assigned by supervisory personnel.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly advantageous for effective communication among associates.
