Position Overview:

The Extruder Machine Operator is tasked with managing assigned machinery. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, environmental compliance, product quality, value addition, team morale, peer performance, and continuous improvement standards are upheld. The operator will collaborate with the machine supervisor to coordinate the daily production schedule.
  • Operate the machinery within specified parameters while striving to maximize its potential.
  • Monitor machine performance and product quality, understanding the adjustments that influence both.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental protocols as outlined in work instructions.
  • Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to maintain safety and quality.
  • Complete and submit necessary documentation for production, maintenance, inventory, and other tasks.
  • Assist in operating smaller equipment to support ongoing operations as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and capability.
  • Experience with conveyors, machinery, equipment, construction trades, welding, or automotive repair is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain precise and detailed records.
  • Capability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety practices.
