The primary objective of the Central Pharmacist I is to enhance the safe and effective utilization of medications by collaborating closely with the pharmacy team. This role plays a vital part in achieving departmental goals by supervising the preparation and distribution of medications to ensure safe medication therapy for our patients. In conjunction with other healthcare team members, this position is accountable for patient outcomes that align with the high standards of care upheld by Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Pharm.D. or BSPharm
  • Relevant Experience
    • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency is preferred
    • Experience in a hospital setting is preferred
    • Pediatric experience is preferred
  • Licensure/Certification
    • Eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Florida is required and must be obtained prior to the start date.
    • PALS certification is preferred.
