Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Bridging the Gap of America, Inc. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to our patients and staff, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and chart maintenance in accordance with Hanger compliance policies.
  • Collect and process patient urinalysis, create patient charts, and file documents accurately.
  • Provide administrative support for patient check-in and check-out processes, including financial counseling and mail forwarding tasks.
  • Review and manage incoming documents, tasking to appropriate parties, and resolving outstanding requests for information.
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections process, maintaining company-mandated collection standards.
  • Assist with inventory management, including data entry, counting, and notifying the Director of needed inventory.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of office administrative experience.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with electronic health/medical record systems, HIPAA knowledge, and typing skills.
Physical Requirements:

The employee will regularly be required to sit, walk, and stand; occasionally bend or twist; regularly talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms (to include reaching overhead); and lift up to 25 pounds.
