About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plant Accountant to join our team at Creative Financial Staffing. As a key member of our financial operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective cost management within our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of plant accounting, including inventory management, cost accounting, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Monitor and control plant expenses to ensure adherence to budgets and optimize financial performance
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into cost drivers and trends to inform business decisions
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting
- Collaborate with plant management to improve financial performance and operational efficiency, driving business growth and profitability
- Maintain and update standard costing models and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Assist in internal and external audits to ensure compliance and accuracy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Plant Accountant or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with plant and corporate management
