Job Summary

As a key member of our team at Texas Lehigh Cement Company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and control plant resources to troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain plant equipment as required, to meet production demands and prevent failures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain awareness of plant operating costs and budget targets, ensuring that our operations are aligned with company goals.
  • Equipment Operation: Properly operate all process equipment, including those in the centralized control system, to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
  • Real-Time Adjustments: Make timely adjustments to equipment and process variables to ensure optimal performance and prevent failures.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Generate required operating and laboratory reports, and ensure environmental compliance by monitoring and understanding air pollution control device operation and permit requirements.
  • Safety and Compliance: Support and maintain the plant safety program through day-to-day safety contacts with employees, holding department toolbox talks, and inspecting work areas to ensure compliance with company safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Strong Technical Skills: Strong understanding of process control systems and proper operating principles, with previous experience in a control room or plant operations role, preferably in cement or related industry.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively across all departments at all levels of the organization, and work independently and as a team.
  • Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
