Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at Good Source Solutions. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving orders, resolving credit memo issues, leading our collections efforts, and ensuring timely cash posting and deposits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Credit Limit Evaluation: Evaluate credit limit needs based on order hold patterns and partner with our credit expert to establish new credit limits.
  • Timely Collections: Ensure collections are timely per customer payments and handle past due invoices in a professional manner.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Communicate with sales or customers regarding discrepancies on invoicing and interact with the sales team on short paid items.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Create and document standard operating procedures for AR processes.
  • Credit Decision Making: Make sound business decisions on customer behavior considering transaction patterns, suspicious changes in customers purchasing habits, historical issues, etc.
  • System Updates: Update the system in accordance with credit decisions.
  • Business Relationship Building: Work closely with the sales team to form a solid business relationship and participate in in-person meetings to resolve AR issues.
Requirements
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure and make calculated and rational decisions.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and statistical skills, including intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Accounting Experience: Hands-on experience with accounting and ERP software, preferably Microsoft Navision / Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate advanced analytic skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and with a team, serving as a consultant and main credit contact in the local office.
Education and Experience
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in collections, credit assessment, and other accounts receivable processes.
  • Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business (preferred).
