Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Battery Energy Storage Engineer with expertise in high voltage systems. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles, energy storage technologies, and battery systems. In this position, you will play a crucial role in the design, execution, and enhancement of battery energy storage solutions that meet our project requirements and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative battery energy storage systems to improve energy efficiency and reliability.
  • Manage the integration of Battery Management Systems (BMS), Power Conversion Systems (PCS), and other control units to ensure optimal battery performance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align battery storage solutions with renewable energy initiatives.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to comply with industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Analyze single-line diagrams, demonstrating a strong grasp of electricity transmission.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in battery technology and energy storage systems.
  • Provide technical assistance throughout the planning, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and insights to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative energy storage strategies, including potential intellectual property.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or higher is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in battery energy storage systems, electrical engineering, or related areas is essential. Strong knowledge of power electronics and various energy storage technologies is required. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., UL, NFPA), regulations, and safety practices related to energy storage systems is necessary. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are important. The ability to excel in a dynamic, innovative setting while managing multiple projects is crucial.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with IoT and smart grid technologies.
  • Understanding of environmental and energy regulations.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $120K - $180K/year + Stock Options
