We are seeking a talented and motivated Battery Energy Storage Engineer with expertise in high voltage systems. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, energy storage technologies, and battery systems. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in the design, execution, and enhancement of battery energy storage solutions tailored to meet our project specifications and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop state-of-the-art battery energy storage systems to improve energy efficiency and reliability.
  • Manage the integration of Battery Management Systems (BMS), Power Conversion Systems (PCS), and other control units to ensure optimal battery performance.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to merge battery storage solutions with renewable energy initiatives.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to comply with industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Analyze and interpret single-line diagrams, applying a robust understanding of electricity transmission.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in battery technology and energy storage systems.
  • Provide technical assistance throughout the planning, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and insights to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative energy storage strategies, including potential intellectual property.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline is required; a Master's degree or higher is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in battery energy storage systems, electrical engineering, or related fields is essential. Strong expertise in power electronics and various energy storage technologies is necessary. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., UL, NFPA), regulations, and safety practices related to energy storage systems is expected. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are required. Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset are essential. The capacity to excel in a dynamic, innovative environment while managing multiple projects is crucial.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with IoT and smart grid technologies.
  • Knowledge of environmental and energy regulations.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $120K - $180K/year plus Stock Options.
