Great Oaks Dental Care is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygiene Specialist to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the success of our dental practice.
Key Responsibilities- Provide thorough and gentle dental hygiene services to patients, including cleanings, exams, and patient education.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, understanding their unique needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with our dental team to ensure seamless patient care and excellent outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest dental hygiene techniques and technologies, participating in ongoing education and training.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Current dental hygienist license in Ohio and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
- CPR Certification.
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
- Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
