Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Martha Jefferson House. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing, personal care, and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with transporting residents to and from the dining area, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Assist residents with toileting, changing, and bathroom privileges, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Turn residents confined in bed and assist with bed-making, promoting their comfort and mobility.
  • Assist with maintenance and storage of residents' clothing and belongings, ensuring their personal items are organized and easily accessible.
  • Take and record residents' vital signs, monitoring their health and well-being.
  • Clean a variety of equipment, maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Carry out proper cleansing and PPE with care for residents, preventing the spread of infection.
  • Empty soiled laundry bins and trash cans, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Perform range of motion exercises to promote residents' mobility and flexibility.
  • Assist resident with feeding and monitor food and liquid intake for nutritional status, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
  • Inform charge nurse of changes in residents' condition, ensuring prompt attention and care.
  • Provide post-mortem care, respecting the dignity and privacy of residents and their families.
  • Document all care and notify nurse of any refusals of care or change in resident's condition, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Perform other work as required, adapting to the changing needs of residents and the facility.
