Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our team at Dallas County. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and investigations to identify patient needs
  • Administer appropriate treatments and immunizations, and obtain laboratory specimens as needed
  • Provide comprehensive educational counseling to patients and other professionals
  • Function as a preceptor for patients and other agencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, equivalent to an Associate's degree
  • One year of work-related experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
  • Knowledge of standard software applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relations with employees, departments, and the general public
  • Valid Texas Driver's License with a good driving record
  • Ability to withstand prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to travel to various work site locations
Additional Requirements for Juvenile Position

This position may be located within a secured facility, requiring the ability to restrain and/or chase youths and be on-call 24 hours for unit emergencies.
