Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize the Transportation Management System (TMS) to input and process customer orders.
  2. Collaborate closely with carriers to confirm timely deliveries by regularly checking shipment statuses and maintaining transportation partnerships.
  3. Engage with team members from different shifts to ensure seamless communication.
  4. Complete daily logs and checklists to maintain operational standards.
  5. Assist customers in resolving any transportation-related issues.
  6. Identify opportunities for cost savings for clients.
  7. Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in customer service.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or some college education is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to time-sensitive situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and Outlook.
  • The capability to learn and operate various company and customer-owned transportation systems and applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for this position.

Physical Requirements:

The physical and mental demands of this position require the associate to:

  • Read and communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
  • Remember and analyze information and instructions.
  • Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Use hands for handling and reaching.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
