Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist I to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiologic examinations and ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiologic examinations according to departmental protocols, positioning patients and selecting technical factors to achieve optimal imaging results.
  • Review orders and correlate patient clinical history with exam being performed, ensuring accurate and efficient care.
  • Consult with attending Radiologists and Registered Nurses as needed, maintaining open communication and collaboration.
  • Follow all National Patient Safety Goals, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Prepare sterile fields and contrast agents, ensuring sterility and accuracy in patient care.
  • Assist radiologists during fluoroscopic procedures, operating and understanding imaging systems.
  • Post-process and review images as required, preparing them for Radiologist interpretation and transmission to the Diagnostic Imaging PACS system.
  • Maintain working knowledge of department equipment and devices, reporting malfunctions and accidents as needed.
  • Provide service-oriented communication with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions in a compassionate and personalized manner.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two years of experience in a directly related area.
  • Basic Life Support OR CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certification.
  • Radiographer License (Hawaii) required at hire.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Radiography.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Trauma, fluoroscopy, and surgery experience.
Work Environment

This role is based at Kaiser Permanente's Maui Memorial Medical Center, with a scheduled weekly hours of 40 and an evening shift. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient care and safety.
