Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Track Design Engineer to provide technical support to our project design teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals and be able to apply them to design and develop innovative solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex engineering calculations and create detailed estimates
  • Research and apply relevant code provisions to ensure design compliance
  • Develop cost estimates for project alternatives and provide recommendations
  • Verify design methodology, calculations, and outcomes to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Interpret drawings from multiple disciplines and create 3D models
  • Research and document design options for project engineers and managers
  • Submit concept designs and work through approval processes with municipalities
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop project designs and ensure they meet company and client standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering
  • 2-5 years of experience in track design and railroad engineering
  • Proficiency in Microstation and OpenRoads
  • Ability to develop drawings from sketches and ensure designs meet company and client standards
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
