Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Track Design Engineer to provide technical support to our project design teams. The successful candidate will apply engineering fundamentals to ensure the delivery of high-quality designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Support: Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement design solutions.
  • Engineering Calculations: Perform complex calculations to estimate costs and ensure design feasibility.
  • Code Compliance: Research and apply relevant codes and regulations to ensure design compliance.
  • Quality Assurance: Verify design methodology, calculations, and outcomes to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Design Interpretation: Interpret drawings from multiple disciplines to inform design decisions.
  • 3D Modeling: Create 3D models to visualize and communicate design concepts.
  • Design Research: Research and document design options to inform project decisions.
  • Design Approval: Submit concept designs and work through approval processes to ensure project progression.
  • Collaboration: Work with senior engineers to develop project designs and ensure effective communication.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in track design and railroad engineering.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microstation and OpenRoads, with ability to create drawings from sketches and ensure design compliance with company and client standards.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and eagerness to learn, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
