Job Description

MEMCO Staffing is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing design projects from inception to completion, with a strong focus on budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Review and approve submittals and shop drawings.
  • Address and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors.
  • Conduct and document project meetings, including pre-construction, progress, and coordination meetings.
  • Evaluate and process change order requests to determine necessity and impact on project scope and budget.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and ensure adherence to project standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project timelines.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including field reports, meeting minutes, and punch lists.
  • Assist in the review and approval of contractor payment applications.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols on the construction site.
  • Maintain and facilitate project logs and documentation for RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, inspections, and other quality control issues.
  • Facilitate project closeout procedures, including final inspections and turnover documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in project management within the architectural or engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • May require periods of travel and/or relocation.
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
  • May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
  • Assignment locations may include project sites and/or the office.
  • Frequent activity: Sitting, viewing computer screen.
  • Occasional activity: Standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling.
