Key Responsibilities:
- Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and fellow staff members.
- Uphold and advocate for residents' rights, treating each individual with the utmost dignity and respect.
- Participate in ongoing training and educational programs to meet state regulatory requirements.
- Exhibit composure in high-pressure situations.
- Ensure confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the community's dress code.
- Complete documentation accurately and comprehensively.
- Promptly report any changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures regarding work schedules and assigned tasks.
- Operate equipment safely, utilizing only those tools for which you have received proper training.
- Implement infection control measures in all activities.
- Demonstrate awareness of fire and emergency protocols, reporting any safety violations.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
- Certification as a Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms within an interdisciplinary care environment.
- Capability to work in a setting that prioritizes senior care without posing health or safety risks to yourself or others.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
