About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Informatics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our informatics department, you will play a critical role in planning, developing, and implementing Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Provider Clinical Order Sets: You will create and update evidence-based order sets within the electronic health record (EHR), ensuring they align with standards of care and clinical best practices.
  • Evidence-Based Practice and Standards of Care: You will develop and review order sets, patient care protocols, and other tools to ensure they are grounded in evidence-based practice and adhere to established standards of care.
  • Infrastructure Support: You will maintain the infrastructure supporting the life cycle of provider order sets and clinical decision support, including resolving issues related to CPOE initiatives.
  • User Collaboration: You will work closely with end-users, physicians, and clinicians to define enhancement opportunities and implement solutions that support healthcare access, delivery, and evaluation.
Requirements
  • A current license as a Registered Nurse in Florida or equivalent compact licensure.
  • Nursing diploma or associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • At least six months of experience in CPOE nursing informatics or a similar field, with training in CPOE Train-the-Trainer programs.
