Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Specialist to join our team at Cameron County. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to federal and state grant funding, ensuring compliance with administrative and financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for grant projects and programs.
  • Prepare and submit grant billings and reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control, procurement, audit, and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with departmental staff to ensure effective financial management and grant compliance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
  • Equivalent work-related experience in governmental fund accounting, grants management, or financial statement preparation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in the operation of personal computers and basic office equipment.
