POSITION OVERVIEW
:
The Medicare MAP Consultant will be responsible for promoting and selling the MAP and Medicare Line of Business. This role involves nurturing relationships, servicing existing clients, and acquiring new clients through consultative selling and marketing, while executing all tasks assigned by the Sales Field Manager.
The incumbent will educate and enroll potential beneficiaries by clearly explaining program benefits in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and company policies.
The Medicare MAP Consultant will establish a strong community presence and act as a primary contact for our current members.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide education to prospects regarding the CPHL MAP product tailored for Full Medicaid and Medicare recipients requiring in-home care and long-term care services.
- Collaborate with Care Managers to address daily needs and assist members in remaining at home.
- Ensure no referrals are necessary for services.

- Possession of an active NYS Health and Accident license.
- AHIP certification.
- Adherence to CMS and CPHL policies.
- Compliance with CPHL, CMS, and state guidelines related to MAP, including all enrollment procedures.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships, generate leads, and foster new business opportunities.
- Active engagement in the community and serve as a point of contact for existing members.
- Demonstrate active listening skills and recommend plans based on customer needs.
- Deliver a positive customer experience with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ensure proper enrollment of prospects and adherence to all internal and external processes.
- Maintain accurate customer records in Case Tracker summarizing interactions.
- Coordinate with internal departments to meet documentation deadlines.
- Build relationships with Local Health Care Service Agencies (LHCSA).
- Develop and nurture connections with prospective members, community leaders, hospitals, partners, and current business associates.
- Meet individual enrollment quotas based on tenure.
- Participate in all Sales Meetings and events.
- Submit daily plans of action and reports.
- Maintain a professional appearance in attire and marketing locations.
- This position may require weekend work and frequent travel across various CPHL sites.
Enhance the visibility of CPHL MAP and Medicare Advantage Plans within the community by overseeing multiple marketing locations and events. This role requires a proactive approach to identify additional marketing opportunities while adhering to company regulatory standards.
Compliance:Continuous education is essential to stay informed about recent regulatory changes, training sessions, workflow adjustments, and updates to company benefits. It is necessary to achieve favorable scores in all assessments and audits.
Technology:Adaptability to various software utilized by CPHL is required, along with maintaining an electronic record of business, researching participating providers, and communicating with internal departments via Microsoft Outlook.
Safeguarding all equipment issued by Centers Plan for Healthy Living MAP and Advantage Care Medicare HMO Plan is crucial. Ensure proper enrollment of prospective members and adherence to all application documentation requirements.
Customer Service:Address and resolve any concerns within a reasonable timeframe or direct them to the appropriate personnel.
Retention:Engage in ongoing communication outreach to members, including follow-ups at 30, 60, and 90 days to ensure satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities:Keep management informed of any recommendations for improving workflows or processes. Maintain open communication with the Site Development unit regarding potential organizations that could become business partners or upcoming marketing events.
Stay updated on competitor activities related to marketing strategies, branding campaigns, and benefit changes.
Collaborate effectively with Provider Relations/Network Development to communicate any recruitment opportunities for providers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Education:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of sales or relevant experience.
- Proficient in corporate email systems (e.g., Outlook, Excel), MS Word, and Internet Explorer.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- This is a field-based position requiring daily travel across the five boroughs.
- Bilingual, with English as the primary language.
- 3+ years of experience in Medicare or sales.
- Valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.
- Active NY Health & Accident License.
