Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Consulting Utility Forester to join our team at Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe delivery of power to our communities while promoting sustainable habitat development throughout our utility right-of-way.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct tree and brush inventories to identify potential hazards and develop pruning and removal plans
  • Inspect and evaluate hazard trees to ensure public safety
  • Plan and coordinate work with tree contractors to ensure efficient and effective vegetation management
  • Manage data and maintain accurate records of work completed
  • Enforce on-the-job safety practices and ensure a safe working environment for employees and the public

Requirements:
  • Degree in forestry or a related field and/or experience in utility line clearance
  • Species identification skills and knowledge of invasive species, as well as tree growth rates
  • Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months of hire
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
  • Proficient in map navigation skills and Microsoft Office
