Job Title: Supply Chain Optimization Manager

Location: Remote Work Shift/Hours: US Timezone (Full-time)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Optimization Manager to join our supply chain team at More Staffing LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing inventory levels, developing demand forecasts, and coordinating efficient logistics operations to ensure a streamlined and cost-effective supply chain.

Responsibilities and Duties:

I. Inventory Planning

Analyze sales data, trends, and customer demands to create inventory forecasts.

Create live spreadsheet forecasting template.

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials or components to meet production schedules.

Develop plans for maintaining inventory levels, including determining how much inventory should be kept on hand and anticipating potential shortages.

Develop policies and procedures for inventory management, including how to handle damaged goods or expired items.

Review orders and shipping schedules to ensure that they meet legal requirements regarding the safe transport of merchandise.

Communicate with suppliers about order status updates.

Recommend improvements to inventory management systems based on past results.

II. Demand Forecasting

Develop monthly sales and inventory forecasts through vendor management tools and demand forecasting.

III. Reporting

Measure business performance and address performance gaps by establishing metrics.

Coordinate with other departments, such as Marketing and Sales, to get input on data trends.

Communicate requirements and share information with team members.

Develop and measure inventory levels and service performance through KPIs.

Organize, check, and distribute product information to departments.

Review inventory data to estimate potential utilization.

Analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in logistics and inventory management.

IV. Others

Manage warehouse inventory and keep records of the inventory.

Monitor and manage budgets.

Select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers.

Respond to and resolve complaints and problems.

Keep up-to-date on shipping carriers, routes, and rates and any changes to them.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or other relevant fields.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a demand planning/forecasting role in total supply chain.

Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.

Strong project management skills.

Have experience using project management tools.

Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
