Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Air Traffic Control Instructor to join our team at SAIC. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training services to air traffic controllers and providing expert guidance on ATC automation, simulation systems, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver classroom and simulation laboratory training to air traffic controllers and students
  • Develop and maintain curriculum and training materials
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to students and Remote Pilot Operators
  • Participate in curriculum design and development
  • Interface with FAA personnel to ensure delivery of training services meets facility and FAA needs
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) experience controlling live traffic or recent experience as a contract Instructor at an FAA facility
  • Experience with ATC simulators, scenario design, and simulation platforms
  • Excellent teaching and platform skills, classroom management techniques, and student-focused drive for continuous improvement
  • FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification and ability to obtain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory and Classroom Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience as a Certified Professional Controller (CPC) at the Spokane ATCT/TRACON (GEG)
  • Operational experience with ATC simulators and scenario design
  • Ability to interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification required
Target Salary Range

$40,001 - $80,000
