Position OverviewRole Summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a skilled Systems Solutions Engineer to contribute to the Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) initiatives. This position allows for a hybrid work model, combining remote work with essential on-site responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver systems engineering expertise and validation of technical and operational solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive test protocols, including procedures, cases, and scenarios to assess performance and effectiveness.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to confirm vendor solutions meet established criteria.
  • Observe testing events and document outcomes accurately.
  • Facilitate engineering assessments for system configurations and operational documentation.
  • Review and analyze technical documentation provided by vendors.
  • Draft technical specifications, engineering documents, and configuration management guidelines.
  • Contribute to acquisition documentation, including Statements of Work and specifications.
  • Report on identified software defects, assist in prioritizing vendor issues, and lead configuration control boards and engineering reviews.
  • Support the creation of inputs for Requests for Information and Proposals as directed by stakeholders.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements and maintain adequate system architecture documentation.
  • Implement Risk Management strategies to document, track, and mitigate system risks.
  • Oversee tracking, management, and procurement of hardware and software resources.
  • Assist in developing training support materials.
Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years in a systems engineering role, focusing on solution assessment and system development.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) engineering processes, including DoD 5000.
  • Experience in developing solutions for complex data-centric challenges.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of security requirements for systems to comply with DoD standards.
  • Expertise in systems and network security, including auditing and user authentication.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with technologies such as Radio Frequency (RF) Systems, Computing Systems, and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Sensors.
  • Familiarity with software development languages including Python, C#, C++, and C.
Clearance Requirement
  • Possession of an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmentalized Information eligibility.
Education
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, IT, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience (Nine years of experience may substitute for a degree; Seven years plus an Associate Degree may also substitute).
  • At least three years of relevant experience is required.
