Position Overview:
This role is integral to the Commercial Lines Placement Team, focusing on marketing property and casualty insurance solutions for both new and renewing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update client and policy data within the agency management system.
  • Oversee timelines and processes during new business and renewal remarketing, including exposure analysis and negotiation of coverage terms.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, including producers and Segment Leaders.
  • Review and assess insurance policies and contracts, providing recommendations for enhancements.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive insurance submissions, including specifications for coverage lines and necessary documentation.
  • Evaluate risks using insurance carrier platforms and internal rating tools.
  • Manage the creation and processing of Broker of Record Letters.
  • Analyze client exposure and loss data through spreadsheets and develop financial models as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospects and carriers.
  • Participate in prospect meetings alongside producers when required.
  • Maintain strong relationships with various insurance companies and wholesalers.
  • Update pipeline reports for accounts being marketed.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, including ongoing education.
  • Facilitate account placements with Strategic Carrier Partners.
  • Engage in seminars and educational activities to enhance job expertise and product knowledge.
  • Work independently and collaboratively on special projects.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ownership and initiative in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong technical acumen with a solid understanding of coverage terms and market dynamics.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Proven presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances and deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team while providing excellent customer service.

Education and Experience:
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Commercial Lines, particularly in the middle market or large business sector.
  • Experience with a broker or agent, including marketing accounts to carriers; strong knowledge of California markets is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Property & casualty insurance license is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Applied Epic is advantageous.
  • Professional designations such as CIC, ARM, AAI, or CPCU are preferred.
