The Accounts Receivable Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the College's financial records related to student accounts. This position involves maintaining accurate student reports, processing payments, and conducting regular account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while accurately processing and recording payments.
  • Ensure precise billing for students and timely deposit of collected funds.
  • Verify accuracy of charges and credits on student accounts, including adjustments for various fees.
  • Maintain records of student meal plan modifications and early departures.
  • Safeguard funds utilized for daily office operations.
  • Handle third-party billing and communication with payers and students.
  • Manage service charges and maintain records of insufficient fund checks.
  • Provide information and reports regarding outstanding student accounts.
  • Reconcile Federal Aid payments with student disbursements on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of collection reports and liaise with collection agencies.
  • Support daily office activities through clerical tasks and filing duties.
  • Supervise student employees within the business office.
  • Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Associate Degree; Required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one year of experience in customer service, accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to quickly learn and master the College's systems and software.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to integrity and confidentiality.
  • Exhibit high ethical standards and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Ability to manage workload under tight deadlines.
  • Maintain professional relationships with a diverse range of individuals.
