About the Role

As a Fire Protection Engineer I, you will work with experienced engineers and designers to perform calculations, determine system sizing and layouts, select equipment, complete field surveys, and prepare shop drawings. As you gain project experience, you will take on a greater role in writing specifications, participating in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and supporting construction-phase work.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in project meetings and support construction-phase work
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Aerospace, Architectural, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Fire Protection or Mechanical)
  • Key experience in fire suppression systems, fire alarm systems, clean agent systems
  • Experience in computer operation for engineering calculation programs and ability to learn computer-aided drafting/BIM software
  • Understanding of applicable design codes, design standards and specification requirements, and ability to interpret them
