Veterinary Emergency Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team at DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital. As a key member of our emergency and critical care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our veterinarians and other technicians, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide emergency nursing care to patients, including administering medications, running in-house lab work, and monitoring critical care anesthesia.
- Calculate medical dosages, place tubes and catheters, and ensure patients' comfort and well-being.
- Update clients on their pet's progress and provide exceptional customer service.
- Work collaboratively with our veterinarians and other technicians to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in our teaching hospital culture, actively seeking opportunities for growth and development.
- Current status as a Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Oregon or currently Licensed Veterinary Technician or Registered Veterinary Technician elsewhere with the ability to transfer license to Oregon.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred minimum of two years working in the veterinary field as a technician or assistant.
- Preferred minimum of one year emergency or other specialty small animal care experience.
- A competitive hourly wage of $28-$36, plus overnight and weekend differential for applicable shifts.
