Right-of-Way Engineering Consultant

STV Incorporated is seeking a dedicated Transportation Engineer specializing in Right-of-Way to enhance our expanding practice focused on land acquisition for transportation and infrastructure initiatives. Our projects encompass the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and design to construction and operational startup.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional eager to leverage innovative tools and technologies in service of public agency clients. This individual will excel in collaborative environments and take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes across multiple concurrent projects.
Key Technical Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage tasks, ensuring seamless integration of right-of-way planning into project workflows.
- Provide expert technical assistance to project teams during the planning, design, and construction stages.
- Evaluate the right-of-way implications and identify necessary real estate for proposed enhancements. Prepare GIS exhibits, including constraint and vicinity maps.
- Support the identification and management of potential risks related to land acquisition, such as environmental concerns, zoning laws, or community feedback.
- Assist in assessing and documenting costs associated with addressing any issues related to acquired properties.
- Gather and analyze data to evaluate the impacts of transportation projects, collaborating with engineers for design assessments.
- Deliver professional engineering design services for transportation enhancements, ensuring quality outputs within budgetary and scheduling constraints.
- Coordinate with essential support disciplines, including land surveyors, utility and drainage experts, and structural and geotechnical engineers.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local real estate regulations, including the Uniform Relocation Act and Real Property Acts.
- Participate in project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure quality deliverables are met within the designated timeline and budget.
- Assist in crafting technical and cost proposals for various projects.
- Document project performance, milestones, and progress to guarantee timely completion.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Successful completion of the PE exam or other relevant professional certifications.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in transportation design.
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in MicroStation.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in spreadsheet and database applications.
- Familiarity with AASHTO and local agency design standards is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
